CSMS / Architecture
Our WPT Controls & Communications architecture, including physical layer elements from the user interface (CSMS) to machine control.
Physical Layer
Communications between modules in our infrastructure are hardwired (via Modbus / RJ45), with centralized control via our SECC (supply equipment communications controller). Communications between vehicles and our infrastructure are handled via ISO 15118-20 over an 802.11n WiFi network.
CSMS
Our infrastructure communicates with inter/intranet-based CSMS (charging station management systems) via OCPP 2.1. Because our infrastructure send & receives data via the standardized & universal open charge point protocol (OCPP), we are not limited to interacting with any one single CSMS provider/software.
Fleet Management
Integral and thorough data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, measuring and controlling every possible aspect of our infrastructure, enables detailed and refined management of fleet infrastructure via an internet-based management system (CSMS).
V2X
Bi-directional infrastructure and bi-directional vehicle charge / discharge capabilities, paired with intelligent charging management and access to grid support + auxiliary service mechanisms via OCPP 2.0.1 and ISO 15118 communications, enable our WPT infrastructure to engage in V2G, V2B, V2V, etc.
